Store Manager

As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for all activities in the store. This includes P&L responsibility, as well as, all procedures and processes necessary to operate a successful business. A big part of your job is hiring, training, mentoring and developing all employees within the store. Our Store Managers are in an entrepreneurial position, and are empowered to take ownership in how the store operates. Exceptional results are rewarded and Store Managers receive monthly and quarterly bonuses based on their performance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Plans and prepares work schedules and assigns employees to specific duties.
  • Formulates pricing guidelines on merchandise according to requirements for profitability of store operations.
  • Coordinates sales promotion activities and prepares, or directs workers preparing, merchandise displays.
  • Supervises employees engaged in sales work, taking of inventories, reconciling cash with sales receipts, keeping operating records, or preparing daily record of transactions for Accountant, or performs work of subordinates, as needed.
  • Ultimately responsible for unit’s profitability and meeting established company goals.
  • Ensures compliance of employees with established security, sales, and record keeping procedures and practices.
  • Performs or assists subordinates in performing duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 12+ months previous “wall-to-wall” management experience in retail or other related industry.
  • Proven planning & time management skills
  • Leadership Experience
  • Must be Results-oriented
  • Previous responsibilities in the areas of hiring, scheduling, report preparation, progressive discipline, P&L management, conflict resolution, etc.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) a plus
  • Minimum of 18 years old
  • No visible tattoos or body piercings
  • Able to successfully complete a drug and criminal background check
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds on an infrequent basis
