Sales Associate

As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for selling merchandise and providing loans to customers. You must have a positive, up-beat personality at all times and be committed to servicing our customers at the highest possible level. In addition you'll be required to perform light administrative duties related to the job, including cash control.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Answers customers' questions concerning location, price, and use of merchandise.
  • Evaluates collateral value of merchandise on possible loans.
  • Tests merchandise on possible loans.
  • Accepts payment and makes change.
  • Stocks shelves, counters, and tables with merchandise.
  • Sets up advertising displays and arranges merchandise on counters and tables to promote sales.
  • Cleans and prices merchandise, as required throughout the day.
  • Obtains merchandise requested by customer and receives merchandise selected by customer.
  • Cleans shelves, counters, and tables.
  • Removes and records amount of cash in the register at end of shift.
  • Performs general housekeeping duties, including mopping, dusting, organizing, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous customer service experience
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) a plus
  • Minimum of 18 years old
  • No visible tattoos or body piercings
  • Able to successfully complete a drug and criminal background check
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds on an infrequent basis
