Assistant Manager

As an Assistant Manager, you will be second-in-charge of the store. We want all of our Assistant Managers to become Store Managers over time. At this level, in addition to duties outlined in the Supervisor position, you will become involved in scheduling, training, cost control, inventory management, training and all other management functions in the store.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
  • Issues written and oral instructions.
  • Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
  • Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.
  • Maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances.
  • Adjusts errors and complaints.
  • Performs or assists subordinates in performing duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 6+ months previous supervisory experience in retail, restaurant, or rent-to own
  • Previous responsibilities in the areas of hiring, scheduling, report preparation, progressive discipline, P&L management, conflict resolution, etc.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent planning & time management skills
  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) a plus
  • Minimum of 18 years old
  • No visible tattoos or body piercings
  • Able to successfully complete a drug and criminal background check
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds on an infrequent basis
